for my birthday this year, steve took me to the prime rib. it was a very "old" setting... i imagine other guests thinking to themselves, "what are these kids doing here". everyone in there under the age of 30 was accompanied by an older crowd... and i mean 60+ older. haha... besides us of course. regardless, it was a nice night. piano playing the background. dim setting w/ mirrors all around. just us 2.
nonetheless i was enjoying every last bit of my meal until i was halfway done. i swear the tiny piece of steak i usually gobble down in 2 seconds was overwhelmingly filling for some odd reason... i began sensing nausea soon after and even made plans to pack up dessert. you know the feeling of being overly stuffed? when you've stuffed your face so much you feel the food filling up to your throat. i swore it was the food until i had to puke. not once, but twice. everything came out faster than when intoxicated.
thank god i was smart enough to stop at the ginormous palm-sized oyster. it was so weird seeing oysters that size haha... i was so turned off, i only finished half of one - of which i ate iman-style... (fork and knife) haha... im going to conclude that it was food poisoning, even though sometimes food poisoning occurs hours after a meal... the unsightly oyster made me nauseous just seeing it on my plate
after falling ill, i decided to write the restaurant in their comment area on the website. i wasn't trying to pursue anything... just wanted to bring it to their attention that maybe there might be something bad in the restaurant. i was more than shocked to get a reply from the manager a day after. and i am even MORE shocked to get a personal call from the manager today apologizing for my dining experience... he ended the concerned call with an "i'm dropping something off in the mail for you later".
hmm... wonder what that can be.
and oh ya. welcome back xanga - back into my life. :)
